A leitura com compreens\u00e3o \u00e9 a base da aprendizagem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ANEXO A &#8211; INTERPRETA\u00c7\u00c3O DE TEXTO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O texto abaixo est\u00e1 com os seus par\u00e1grafos numerados para facilitar a localiza\u00e7\u00e3o dos conceitos, palavras e express\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>IMPORT\u00c2NCIA DA NORMA CULTA<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Di\u00e1logo dif\u00edcil do professor de Portugu\u00eas com os alunos \u00e9 convenc\u00ea-los a falar e a escrever conforme as normas da l\u00edngua culta.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Para muitos representantes, esses padr\u00f5es s\u00e3o uma imposi\u00e7\u00e3o das classes dominantes e devem ser, como outras formas de opress\u00e3o, abolidos, em benef\u00edcio do povo brasileiro.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Existe em tal argumento uma converg\u00eancia de elementos heterog\u00eaneos. Nenhuma classe \u00e9 donat\u00e1ria exclusiva do idioma.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mas a grande confus\u00e3o est\u00e1 mesmo no entendimento deficiente do processo de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o. Vivendo em comunidade, todo falante \u00e9 naturalmente entendido pelos parentes. H\u00e1, por\u00e9m, outros estratos na vida social: a escola, a igreja, o clube, o trabalho que proporcionam momentos informais e formais. O falante civilizado n\u00e3o deve se expressar, em toda a parte, em todo momento, com a linguagem da tribo ou do cl\u00e3. Seria uma inadequa\u00e7\u00e3o a ser repelida pela sociedade como um comportamento inconveniente.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ao usufruir o estudante, no manejo oral ou escrito, das modalidades cultas, n\u00e3o est\u00e1 o professor de Portugu\u00eas impondo-lhe um c\u00f3digo arbitr\u00e1rio, mas simplesmente habilitando-o a que, em qualquer situa\u00e7\u00e3o, possa utilizar o extraordin\u00e1rio instrumento que \u00e9 uma l\u00edngua de civiliza\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 O conhecimento do idioma \u00e9 ent\u00e3o necess\u00e1rio como o de outras normas de conviv\u00eancia social.<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0\u00a0 Se n\u00e3o se aceitam as normas de educa\u00e7\u00e3o, de higiene, de tr\u00e2nsito, etc&#8230;, o recurso \u00e9 o retorno \u00e0s selvas. Mas, ainda nesse caso extremo (porque o homem n\u00e3o vive isolado), sempre haver\u00e1 alguma regra a ser seguida.<\/p>\n<p>8.\u00a0 O acesso \u00e0 l\u00edngua culta, por ser esta uma certid\u00e3o de cidadania, constitui-se numa aspira\u00e7\u00e3o leg\u00edtima. SEPARA\u00c7\u00c3O DE S\u00cdLABAS.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Quando escrevemos, \u00e0s vezes temos a necessidade de partir a palavra, ao passar de uma linha para outra do caderno. Portanto, precisamos saber partir corretamente as palavras.<\/p>\n<p>A divis\u00e3o sil\u00e1bica, muitas vezes, nos deixa em d\u00favida. Por isso \u00e9 muito importante conhecermos as no\u00e7\u00f5es b\u00e1sicas sobre a divis\u00e3o sil\u00e1bica. Nos Roteiros 2 e 3 voc\u00ea deve ter aprendido sobre os sons utilizados na forma\u00e7\u00e3o das palavras. Ao pronunciarmos uma palavra, movimentamos a boca, emitindo um grupo de sons de cada vez. \u00c9 a <strong>s\u00edlaba.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tomemos como exemplo a palavra PORTUGU\u00caS. Temos os fonemas:<\/p>\n<p>\/p\/, \/o\/, \/r\/, \/t\/, \/g\/, \/u\/, \/\u00ea\/, \/s\/.<\/p>\n<p>Ao pronunciarmos esta palavra emitimos, num s\u00f3 jato de voz, os fonemas:<\/p>\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" align=\"left\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"143\" height=\"7\"><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>\/p\/, \/o\/, \/r\/ = <em>por <\/em> \/t\/, \/u\/ = <em>tu <\/em> \/g\/, \/u\/, \/\u00ea\/, \/s\/ = <em>gu\u00eas<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Portanto, cada vez que movimentamos nossa boca para emitirmos um som estaremos pronunciando uma s\u00edlaba, que pode ser formada por um fonema ou por v\u00e1rios fonemas. Na escrita, utilizamos um tra\u00e7o (-) chamado <strong>h\u00edfen<\/strong>, para separarmos as s\u00edlabas.<\/p>\n<p>A regra b\u00e1sica para a separa\u00e7\u00e3o das s\u00edlabas das palavras \u00e9 agrupar os fonemas que s\u00e3o pronunciados de uma s\u00f3 vez, nas palavras. Entretanto, algumas palavras n\u00e3o obedecem a esta regra geral. Por isso, vamos fazer um breve intervalo neste assunto, porque, antes, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio que voc\u00ea conhe\u00e7a como s\u00e3o formadas as s\u00edlabas, em portugu\u00eas.<\/p>\n<p>Vejamos se voc\u00ea entendeu a no\u00e7\u00e3o b\u00e1sica de s\u00edlaba. Pronuncie pausadamente as seguintes palavras, prestando aten\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s emiss\u00f5es da sua voz. DITONGO, TRITONGO, HIATO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Em portugu\u00eas, as s\u00edlabas s\u00e3o formadas por vogais (V) e consoantes (C).<\/p>\n<p>A vogal \u00e9 o fonema de presen\u00e7a obrigat\u00f3ria na forma\u00e7\u00e3o da s\u00edlaba. As consoantes fazem parte da s\u00edlaba, mas n\u00e3o possuem o peso fon\u00eamico que as vogais exercem. Podemos construir palavras s\u00f3 com vogais, mas n\u00e3o podemos faz\u00ea-lo s\u00f3 com consoantes. Veja os exemplos:<\/p>\n<p>Oi!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ei!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ai!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ui!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Eu ia ao iate.<\/p>\n<p>Das palavras acima, apenas uma (iate) possui uma consoante: \/t\/.<\/p>\n<p>Agora veja esse exemplo:<\/p>\n<p>O Brasil faz fronteira com o Paraguai e o Uruguai.<\/p>\n<p>Quantas palavras, nesta frase, s\u00f3 possuem consoantes? Nenhuma! Para tirar a d\u00favida, procure neste livro uma palavra que seja formada s\u00f3 por consoantes. N\u00e3o tem! Isto quer dizer que as vogais exercem papel fundamental na nossa l\u00edngua.<\/p>\n<p>Vimos no Roteiro 3 que os sons voc\u00e1licos, em portugu\u00eas, s\u00e3o 12 (inclu\u00eddos os nasais), mas sua representa\u00e7\u00e3o gr\u00e1fica \u00e9 conhecida apenas atrav\u00e9s de 5 letras: a, e, i, o, u. Vimos tamb\u00e9m que:<\/p>\n<p>. um som pode ser representado por uma ou duas letras: am, em, im, om, um, ch, nh, lh;<\/p>\n<p>. uma letra pode representar v\u00e1rios sons: <strong>c<\/strong>into, <strong>c<\/strong>asa;<\/p>\n<p>. um som pode ser representado por letras diferentes: cinto\/sinto; chave\/x\u00edcara; ca\u00e7ar\/cassar; azar\/asa\/ exemplo<\/p>\n<p>Isto tem se constitu\u00eddo numa dificuldade ao ensino do ler e escrever na nossa l\u00edngua.\u00a0Vejamos, agora, o que ocorre a determinados fonemas quando agrupados. Observe as palavras:<\/p>\n<p>Uau!\u00a0 Au-au!\u00a0\u00a0 Ui!\u00a0\u00a0 Ai!\u00a0\u00a0 Ei!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Eia!\u00a0\u00a0 Oi!\u00a0\u00a0 Eu,\u00a0 ia,\u00a0 ao,\u00a0\u00a0 ou.<\/p>\n<p>Todas s\u00e3o formadas por vogais. Quando numa palavra h\u00e1 uma seq\u00fc\u00eancia de vogais temos um <strong>encontro voc\u00e1lico.<\/strong> A seq\u00fc\u00eancia de vogais pode se dar dentro de uma mesma s\u00edlaba ou em s\u00edlabas diferentes. Exemplos:<\/p>\n<p>b<strong>a\u00eda<\/strong> = ba-\u00ed-a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Parag<strong>uai<\/strong> = Pa-ra-guai\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 b<strong>ai<\/strong>le = bai-le<\/p>\n<p>Temos a\u00ed, uma seq\u00fc\u00eancia de vogais, embora na 1\u00aa palavra as mesmas fa\u00e7am parte de s\u00edlabas diferentes e na 2\u00aa e 3\u00aa perten\u00e7am a uma s\u00edlaba apenas. Ent\u00e3o, n\u00e3o importa se as vogais fa\u00e7am parte ou n\u00e3o da mesma s\u00edlaba. O que caracteriza o <em>ENCONTRO VOC\u00c1LICO \u00e9 a sequ\u00eancia de vogais dentro da palavra<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Como vimos nos exemplos acima, os encontros voc\u00e1licos podem aparecer na mesma s\u00edlaba ou em s\u00edlabas diferentes. Esses fatos da nossa l\u00edngua recebem nomes especiais. Voltemos aos exemplos dados. Na palavra <em>baile = b<strong>ai<\/strong>-le<\/em>. Ex: s\u00e1bia \u2013 sabia.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00e1 falamos, linhas atr\u00e1s, que as s\u00edlabas s\u00e3o formadas por consoantes (C) e vogais (V): CV. Quando pronunciamos as s\u00edlabas de uma palavra, os fonemas s\u00e3o emitidos ora de forma mais forte, ora mais fraca.<\/p>\n<p>Veja o exemplo: ca+dei+ra.<\/p>\n<p>A estrutura de uma s\u00edlaba apresenta tr\u00eas parte: pico ou n\u00facleo, que \u00e9 o som mais forte da s\u00edlaba; \u00e9 geralmente ocupado por uma vogal. As outras duas partes (zona perif\u00e9rica), t\u00eam o som mais fraco, \u00e0s vezes s\u00e3o opcionais, e s\u00e3o preenchidas por consoantes. No exemplo dado, as s\u00edlabas possuem no seu n\u00facleo (o som mais forte) uma vogal (a, e, a). As outras partes (o som mais fraco) s\u00e3o preenchidas por consoantes. Mas a segunda s\u00edlaba, <em>dei<\/em>, possui um ditongo. Se voc\u00ea prestar aten\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 maneira como s\u00e3o pronunciados, ver\u00e1 que esse ditongo come\u00e7a com o som forte no \u201ce\u201d e v\u00e3o como que \u201cdescendo uma ladeira\u201d com o \u201ci\u201d. \u00c9 como se o som fosse diminuindo, decrescendo. A esses ditongos assim formados damos o nome de DITONGO DECRESCENTE porque s\u00e3o formados por uma vogal (e) + uma semivogal (i).<\/p>\n<p>Agora veja esse outro exemplo: M\u00e1r + cia.<\/p>\n<p>O ditongo existente, \u201cia\u201d, come\u00e7a com o som fraco no \u201ci\u201d e vai como que \u201csubindo a ladeira\u201d. \u00c9 como se o som fosse aumentando, crescendo. \u00c9 um DITONGO CRESCENTE porque \u00e9 formado por uma semivogal (i) + uma vogal (a).<\/p>\n<p>O \/a\/ sempre ocupa a posi\u00e7\u00e3o de vogal; o \/i\/ e o \/u\/ ocupam a posi\u00e7\u00e3o de semivogal. Acusam-na de arruaceira, atrevida e obstinada, de n\u00e3o respeitar autoridade e de se meter onde n\u00e3o \u00e9 chamada. Mas tendo com ela convivido longo tempo, praticamente juntos dia e noite de mar\u00e7o a novembro neste ano de 72, sei de suas boas qualidades. Nasceu para a alegria e lutou contra a tristeza, n\u00e3o esconde o pensamento, gosta de aprender e um pouco aprendeu nas cartilhas, muito na vida. De t\u00e3o doce e terna, o doutor, homem fino, s\u00f3 a tratava de Tereza Favo-de-Mel.<\/p>\n<p>Comeu do lado podre da vida com fartura e n\u00e3o se desesperou. Diz\u00ea-la formosa \u00e9 dizer pouco, louvar-lhe a compet\u00eancia no of\u00edcio basta para explicar-lhe a sedu\u00e7\u00e3o. Conto algumas das suas perip\u00e9cias, desenho-lhe o perfil e me pergunto se n\u00e3o restaram tra\u00e7os obscuros. Sa\u00ed perguntando a meio mundo e \u00e0 pr\u00f3pria Tereza interroguei. Viver paga a pena e o amor compensa, disse-me ela, nos olhos de um fulgor de diamante.<\/p>\n<p>Certa vez lhe mandei, caro Martins, a mo\u00e7a Gabriela, feita de cravo e canela, tirada de uma moda de cacau, por onde anda? O personagem s\u00f3 pertence ao romancista enquanto permanecem os dois na labuta da cria\u00e7\u00e3o, barro amassado com suor e sangue, com \u00f3dio e com amor, embebido em sofrimento, salpicado de alegria. Depois \u00e9 dos outros, de quem dele se aposse nas p\u00e1ginas do livro e lhe d\u00ea um pouco de si, enriquecendo-o. A mo\u00e7a Gabriela, de Ilh\u00e9us, anda mundo afora, sei l\u00e1 em quantas l\u00ednguas. Tantas, j\u00e1 perdi a conta.<\/p>\n<p>De outra feita, em prova de amizade lhe enviei dona Flor, solteira, casada, vi\u00fava, depois feliz com seus dois maridos, propondo uma adivinha m\u00e1gica da Bahia, prisioneira que rompeu as grilhetas da moral corrente e libertou o amor dos preconceitos. Mansa criatura, quem a diria capaz de agir como ela agiu? De repente surpreendeu-me. Pensava conhec\u00ea-la e n\u00e3o a conhecia. \u00c9 outra cujo destino escapou de minha m\u00e3o, ainda agora neste novembro, anda de roupa nova nas ruas de Paris, vestida de francesa por Stock. Com esses gringos fan\u00e1ticos por mulher bonita, seus dois maridos, Vadinho e doutor Teodoro Madureira, correm perigo.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e3o h\u00e1 dois sem tr\u00eas, dizem por aqui. Assim sendo, receba agora Tereza Batista para formar o trio. Mulherzinha persistente: me perseguiu durante anos, quis escapar-lhe, meter-me em empresa menos braba, n\u00e3o consegui, ela me teve e durante este ano todo fui seu escravo. Agora voc\u00ea \u00e9 seu senhor.<\/p>\n<p>Despe\u00e7o-me dela com saudade, me ensinou a acreditar ainda mais na vida e na invencibilidade do povo mesmo quando levado \u00e0s \u00faltimas resist\u00eancias, quando restam apenas solid\u00e3o e morte. No final da hist\u00f3ria me dei conta que nem tudo no mundo \u00e9 ruim como a princ\u00edpio imaginei ao me afundar nos atropelos de Tereza. A maldade quase sempre \u00e9 mis\u00e9ria ou ignor\u00e2ncia. Frase digna do Conselheiro Ac\u00e1cio, n\u00e3o a coloco na boca de Tereza. O que houver de bom no livro a ela se deve. O resto \u00e9 meu, desacertos e limita\u00e7\u00f5es, trovador de rima pobre.<\/p>\n<p>H\u00e1 mais de trinta anos trabalhamos juntos, voc\u00ea e eu, escrevendo e fabricando livros. Narizinho teve a id\u00e9ia de inquirir por que motivo ela se chamava Ortografia.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Meu nome \u00e9 grego e formado por duas palavras gregas \u2013 ORTHOS e GRAFHIA. Orthos quer dizer \u201ccorreta\u201d e Grafhia quer dizer \u201cescrita\u201d. Sou, portanto, a Escrita Correta, ou a que ensina a escrever corretamente.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Pois a senhora precisa trabalhar muito \u2013 disse Em\u00edlia \u2013 porque\u00a0 a maior parte das gentes ainda n\u00e3o sabe escrever na regra. Eu mesma, que sou marquesa, erro \u00e0s vezes&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Marquesa? \u2013 repetiu a Ortografia, admirada. \u2013 Marquesa de qu\u00ea?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Marquesa de Rabic\u00f3, para servir, minha senhora! \u2013 respondeu Em\u00edlia, de m\u00e3os na cintura e queixo erguido.<\/p>\n<p>Narizinho confirmou o titulo da boneca e narrou v\u00e1rias passagens da sua vidinha, inclusive o casamento e o div\u00f3rcio com o Marqu\u00eas de Rabic\u00f3. A Ortografia espantou-se grandemente com tais prod\u00edgios. Em seguida falou da sua vida ali.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Antigamente o sistema de escrever as palavras era o SISTEMA ETIMOL\u00d3GICO, o qual mandava escrev\u00ea-las de acordo com a origem. Isso trazia muitas complica\u00e7\u00f5es e dificuldades. Por esse sistema a palavra <em>cisma<\/em>, por exemplo, escrevia-se <em>scisma<\/em>, com uma letra in\u00fatil, mas justificada pela origem. A palavra <em>t\u00edsica<\/em> escrevia-se <em>phth\u00edsica,<\/em> com tr\u00eas letras in\u00fateis, sempre por causa da origem. <em>Ditongo<\/em> escrevia-se <em>diphthongo.<\/em> De modo que havia uma enorme trabalheira entre os homens para decorar a forma das palavras \u2013 e trabalheira in\u00fatil, porque ningu\u00e9m ganhava coisa nenhuma com isso.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; S\u00f3 os tip\u00f3grafos \u2013 lembra Narizinho. \u2013 Esses engordavam&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sim, s\u00f3 os tip\u00f3grafos \u2013 confirmou a Ortografia. \u2013 Todos os mais perdiam tempo e f\u00f3sforo cerebral. Em conseq\u00fc\u00eancia disso ergueu-se um movimento para mudar \u2013 para acabar com a Ortografia Etimol\u00f3gica, e por em lugar dela outra mais fon\u00e9tica, isto \u00e9, que s\u00f3 conservasse nas palavras as letras que se pronunciam. Esse movimento venceu, afinal, sendo sancionado por um decreto do Governo, depois de muito estudado pela Academia Brasileira de Letras.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Quer dizer que agora ningu\u00e9m mais erra? \u2013 disse Pedrinho.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Est\u00e1 muito enganado, meu filho. H\u00e1 regras que tem de ser seguidas, e os que se afastarem dessas regras, erram. Mas tudo se tornou mais simples e l\u00f3gico.
